Reiki is an unconventional therapy , a Japanese art of healing through energy transfer to seeker’s body to relieve distress and tension and pain. It is a safe and non invasive treatment process to alleviate pain. Reiki is an art of healing through energy transfer.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is an unconventional form of therapy first used in Japan 2500 years ago that utilizes positive healing energy transfer in -person or sending wishes to distant seeker at a particular time and for particular duration.

In person Reiki reduces tension and stress through gentle healing touch. This kind of treatment is used in hospitals and hospices along with other treatments as a complementary treatment for ultimate healing and recovery.

Seekers become physically, emotionally and spiritually fit by becoming perfectly energetically balanced. Reiki sessions may last for 50–90 minutes. After the session seeker feel happy and relaxed sometimes they are drained and tired due to exhaustion in focusing and concentration.

History of Reiki

Reiki is an art of healing developed in Japan. Mikao Usui developed Reiki in early 1900. “Rei” stands for “Universe” and “Ki” stands for “vital energy”, life form energy that is present in all life forms.

Advantages of Reiki

Advantages of Reiki are multifold, listed as follows:

  • Created meditative state
  • Generate natural healing and pain relief and psychological destressing during process.
  • Supports other medical treatments as chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery and dialysis.
  • Stimulates immune system and bring about natural healing.

Reiki brings about a general feeling of peace and relaxation and well being and happiness. This may be due to psychological reasons of receiving personalized treatment from practitioner, knowing that this treatment is designed especially for them.
