Probiotics are microorganisms typically bacteria and yeast that provide health benefits to the person consuming them in fixed amounts. Fermented products, yogurt, dietary supplements are some examples of the same. As they say anything consumed in more than excess is always injurious to health be it any medicine, food product or Probiotics for that matter. What are Probiotics?
Probiotics are mixture of live good bacteria and yeast that live in our gut/body and help in digestion. Also they may be consumed externally in fixed amounts as supplement, to enhance digestion and improve gut health. Probiotics are generally safe to consume as off-the-shelf supplement, though in some cases may create bacteria-host interaction and reaction and generate side effects!
