Paul McCartney is a British musician, singer, and songwriter who gained worldwide fame as a member of the Beatles, one of the most influential and successful bands in the history of popular music.
He was born on June 18, 1942, in Liverpool, England.
McCartney co-wrote many of the Beatles’ most popular songs with John Lennon, forming one of the most celebrated songwriting partnerships in the history of music. Some of their well-known compositions include:
