India Trip Picture Gallery: Few Significant Architecture and Shrines
Clicking pictures is an art and a hobby to possess and master
During my recent India trip I clicked numerous pictures of ancient building and architecture in Maharashtra.
Shri Siddhivinayak Ganapati Mandir in Prabhadevi area , Mumbai is revered shrine of Hindu God Lord Ganesh. Siddhivinayak (The one who grant you wish) temple was built by Laxman Vithu and Deubai Patil in 1801.
The main wooden door of sanctum to the heart of temple is carved with images of Ashtivinayak (Eight manifestations of lord Ganesh) which are as follows:
- Mayureshwar or Moreshwar ( located in Moregaon)
- Siddhivinayak ( located in Siddhatek)
- Ballaleshwar ( located in Pali)
- Mahaganapati ( located in Ranjangaon)
- Varadavinayak ( located in Mahad)
- Chintamani ( located in Theur)
- Girijatmaj ( located in Lenyandri)
- Vighneshwar ( located in Ozar)
These eight temples are located in three districts of Maharashtra: Pune, Raigad and Ahmadnagar.
