Triglycerides are fat(lipid) globules found in blood, converted from extra calories you consumed, that are stored as triglycerides, to be used later to generate energy. What are Triglycerides?

Triglycerides are non-polar lipid molecules composed of glycerol molecule and three fatty acids (FA) molecules. Triglycerides metabolism plays a key role in energy balance, homeostasis, growth and maintenance. FA are of different length and composition.

Most of the triglycerides come from all the fat that we eat as, butter, vegetable oil, margarines and other oils. Extra calories, alcohol and sugar all are converted to triglycerides.
