Holi the festival of colors is just round the corner. This year it is being celebrated on 18th day of March, 2022. It is most famous festival in Northern part of India during spring season and has ancient and religious myths associated and also indicates the triumph of goodness over evil! It is a Hindu festival and a season to spread happiness and love, celebrate together without inhibitions of rich and poor, caste and creed and share love and joy with sweets and flowers and colors!

Religious significance

People celebrate Holi the festival of colors to herald the end of winter and start of spring season. Many folks still use and apply colors made exclusively from natural flowers and plants to maintain authenticity of the festival.

Mythologically, it is triumph of goodness of “Prahalad”, son of Demon King “HiranyaKashyapa” over evilness of his aunt “ Holika”. The day of Holi starts with destroying “Holika” in the form of twigs and dried wood and husk on first day of Holi. Celebrations around the bonfire start by offering some amount of home made sweets…
