DITA (Darwin Information Typing Architecture) is an XML-based open sourced standard for authoring, organizing, and publishing technical content. This content architecture model is used especially in Technical writing, publications, medical and financial documentations and in educational, technical and manufacturing organizations for authoring and publications. DITA is XML-based end to end architecture for authoring. Darwin Information Typing Architecture is named after scientist Charles Darwin because it is based on core principles of evolution and specialization as given by Charles Darwin for evolution of species, in The Origin of Species, as species adapt and evolve in nature.
