Hypnic headaches are a rare type of headache that occurs during sleep in nighttime. It wakes the person up, which is why they’ve earned the nickname “alarm-clock headaches“ . Here are some common causes and suggestions for managing nighttime headache:

Sleep Disorders may lead to nighttime headache

Conditions like sleep apnea or insomnia can contribute to nighttime headaches. Treating the underlying sleep disorder may help alleviate headaches.

Bruxism or Teeth Grinding in night cause headache

Grinding your teeth during sleep, known as bruxism, can cause tension headaches. A dentist may recommend a mouthguard to reduce the impact of teeth grinding.

Sinusitis or nose congestion cause night headache
