Came to Your City as a Traveler

Fading boundaries, still no love and peace

Came to your city as a traveler,

Fading boundaries still no love or peace,

Let me meet you once, to find solace, rest and sleep.

This destination, this place, is a fading city,

By morning, will separate from this sand dune,

Who survived to share this night and learn new tune.

I came to your city like a traveler,

Hiding bright lights in my heart,

To capture fine melodies like that of Mozart.

Lots of tears in my eyelids while going apart,

Ambitions and yearnings in my heart,

Let my eyes pour down to cool this fading city,

I have come to your city like a traveler.

Tonight listen to my love and my voice,

Grumbling, shattering voice which almost demised.

Let me meet you once, if not in this genesis, in this birth,

I came to your city like a traveler.

Blackout in my mind, why I said yes,

Dwellers lacking life, why you loved.

Bagged in this lifetime, meeting seems futile,

Seems impossible, may be beyond this place, somewhere…next time

Just once, give me opportunity, to meet you,

Came to your city like a traveler.
