Have you noticed the company logos embossed on manholes or company signs on shutters, they are all so similar. They make the company name unique and recognizable from distance by one slight look. It says the story of the brand in one shot. A kind of template. Few terms and phrases appearing in all instruments and documents as same. This is called Boilerplate Language.

What is Boilerplate Language?

The term Boilerplate language has history. This term dates back to 19th century when steel plates were used to make steam boilers. The term was first used in 1950s in legal profession.

It is the term used to describe any fixed template of words or phrases that appear same in all instruments and documents of the company. It describes the company in one go. It is kind of “About us” of the company. It describes the company brand.
