Rudraksha Beads have medicinal value, this came to my knowledge when I was on a Haridwar-Rishikesh trip during summer vacation along with my parents and siblings many years ago in India. Lord Shiva resides in Mount Kailash which is the axis of rotation of celestial sphere. Mount Kailash which is Sacred in Hinduism finds its mention in Vedas and Mythological Epic Ramayana.
Mount Kailash is in Tibet Autonomous Region, China. Mount Kailash is one of the highest mountains in Himalayas. Abode of Lord Shiva is in Tibet region. Earlier Hindu pilgrims used to travel Kailash Mansarover from Ladakh via Demchok.
