In literature, a bard is a poet, singer, or storyteller who traditionally recites epic poems or sings ballads. Bards have been prominent figures in many cultures throughout history, such as the ancient Celts and the Norse skalds. Bards also continue to serve Hinduism and keeping history alive by chanting mythological stories. Sing stories in lyrical prayers, compose praises and promote religious behavior through poems and musical storytelling.
