Air pollution refers to the presence of harmful substances in the air that we breathe, including particulate matter, gases, and biological molecules. These pollutants can come from a variety of sources, including power plants, factories, cars and trucks, and natural phenomena such as wildfires. Exposure to air pollution can have a variety of negative health effects, including respiratory diseases, heart disease, and cancer. It can also harm plants and animals, and cause acid rain and smog. News of increasing fog and smog in New Delhi and Northern India lately stirs fear and concern. Is it due to global warming or human misuse of technology? Increase in number of moving vehicles on the road heavy traffic, and extreme temperatures during the day is the cause of heavier >> Smoke + Fog = Smog and hence increasing number of accidents due to lack of far sight. Car exhaust gases, Coal power plants industries, factory emissions all contribute too.
